The University at Albany's School of Education welcomed 11 new faculty and staff members this fall. They bring research, experience and expertise on many subjects, including K-12 teaching and learning, postsecondary education, counseling psychology and higher education administration. Rachel Adams Goertel (PhD, Indiana University of Pennsylvania) is director of field education for secondary education in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice.

Diane Codding (PhD, University of Delaware) is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice.

Jill DelTosta (PhD, University at Albany) is a part-time clinical assistant professor in the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology’s Division of Counseling Psychology.  

Ed Engelbride (PhD, University of Maryland, College Park) is a professor of practice in the Department of Educational Policy & Leadership.

Sandra George is manager of finance for grants & contracts in the Dean’s Office.

Lindsay Griendling (PhD, University of Virginia) is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology’s Division of Special Education.

Hannah Kistler (PhD, Vanderbilt University) is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Policy & Leadership.

Hsin-Hua (Cathy) Lee (PhD, University at Albany) is a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology’s Division of Counseling Psychology.

Benjamin Lowell (PhD, Boston College) is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice.

Sarah Luria (PhD, University of Connecticut) is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology’s Division of Educational Psychology and Methodology.

Tal Waltzer (PhD, University of California, Santa Cruz) is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology’s Division of Educational Psychology and Methodology.
