Dr. Ben Lowell is assistant professor in the School of Education's Department of Educational Theory and Practice. He joined the University at Albany faculty in 2025. Dr. Lowell earned his PhD in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on science education from Boston College.
Research Interests
How teachers learn to teach science as a process of figuring out the natural world, with a particular emphasis on the systems and structures that support in-service teacher learning.
