- Apply for UAlbany Foundation Scholarships.
- Use your UAlbany Net ID and password (which you’ll receive shortly after being admitted) to access the application.
- Early Action Decisions: First-year students (freshmen) who applied Early Action will receive a decision in December.

- Start monitoring MyUAlbany for uncompleted tasks.
- Use your UAlbany Net ID and password (which you’ll receive shortly after being admitted) to access the MyUAlbany portal.
- Monitor tasks as a first-year student (freshman).
- Monitor tasks as a transfer student.

- Register for an Accepted Student Open House.
- Award Letters Sent: New students who have been accepted, completed the FAFSA and resolved any uncompleted tasks will receive a Financial Aid Award letter.

- Compare college costs. Use our Financial Aid Comparison Worksheet to compare the aid package you received from UAlbany with other colleges’ offers.

- Apply for on-campus housing.
- Attend an Accepted Student Open House.
- Register for a Connection Day.
- This one-day, in-person program is part of UAlbany’s new student orientation. Choose from various days throughout the summer.
- Only students who have submitted an enrollment deposit and met all immunization and health requirements may register.
- Review guidance for completing the Connection Day Registration Form.

- Enrollment Deposit Deadline
- Apply for an Excelsior Scholarship. You must be a New York State resident or otherwise qualify under the New York State Dream Act to apply.
- Set up an E-Refund account.
- Use your UAlbany Net ID and password (which you’ll receive shortly after being admitted) to access E-Pay.
- Set up an authorized user to allow your parent/guardian or another trusted person to view and pay your student account balance and download tax documents.
- Use your UAlbany Net ID and password (which you’ll receive shortly after being admitted) to complete this step.
- Submit the FERPA Form to allow your parent/guardian or another trusted person to access your academic records, if desired.
- Use your UAlbany student ID (which you received in your acceptance letter) and your UAlbany email address (which you received shortly after submitting your enrollment deposit) to complete the form.

- Explore additional financial resources. If the aid you’ve been awarded doesn’t cover your entire bill, consider these options:
- Enroll in a payment plan.
- Use funds from a 529 Plan.
- Apply for a Direct PLUS Loan or a private student loan.
- Seek on- or off-campus employment.
- Apply for additional scholarships.
- Attend a Connection Day.

- Invoices Sent: Students who have registered for classes will receive their first bill for Fall 2026.
