Mission Statement

The University at Albany’s Collegiate Recovery Program is an initiative to empower students seeking and living a recovery-lifestyle to author their own success, pursue possibilities, and create connections. The Collegiate Recovery Program promotes health, wellness, and sustained recovery by providing peer and professional support on campus to support students and address students’ needs around health, home, purpose, and community.

What Is Collegiate Recovery?

Collegiate Recovery at the University at Albany provides students with peer and professional support services on campus and virtually. Students can connect to a Recovery Support Navigator to explore and access recovery support services including weekly virtual recovery support meetings, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and our student led recovery support community, Danes for Recovery.

Collegiate recovery is an initiative to support students seeking and living a recovery life-style by providing peer and professional support on campus for the purpose of promoting health, wellness, and sustained recovery. A collegiate recovery program supports students to and addresses students’ needs around health, home, purpose, and community.
