How to Join a Community

Applying for membership in a Living-Learning Community is simple!

You apply for L-LCs as an incoming freshman, when you pay your housing deposit and apply for housing. In the application, tell us why you want to be a member of your chosen community.

You can request a roommate, and IF the roommate wants the same L-LC and is eligible for the same L-LC (if major specific), we’ll put you together.

When registering for housing, you must note your interest in the appropriate L-LC(s).

If you are requesting a roommate, your roommate MUST also apply for the same L-LC.

You will be notified by July 1 if you have been accepted into the L-LC. If the L-LC is filled, you will be placed on a waiting list and notified if space becomes available. This allows you to work with your advisor in the summer orientation session to plan your fall schedule of classes to support the L-LC.
