Professor Ho: Remote Instruction Widens the Gap
In a recent article on the Times Union, Professor Chun-Yu Ho criticizes the remote instruction plan for K-6 students in the coming school year. He cites recent studies showing adverse effects of remote learning on students achievements. He points to the increasing the academic gap across socio-economic groups caused by the lack of in-person learning environments.

Professor Ho Advocates for State Airport Funding
In an opinion article in the Albany Times Union, Professor Chun-yu Ho discusses why it is important for the Capital Region to bid for the Upstate Airport Economic Development and Revitalization Competition recently announced by Governor Andrew Cuomo. He cites a study that predicts a one percent increase in local employment generated by a 10 percent increase in air passengers and the importance of knowledge-based economy in the Tech Valley.

Dr. Park Donates to Pong S. Lee Memorial Fund
Dr. Seung Park donates $100K to Pong S. Lee Memorial Fund. Seung Park received his PhD degree in Economics at UAlbany in 1974 as a student of Prof. Pong S. Lee. Prof. Park then returned to Korea and played an important role in South Korea's economic development. Most notably, he served as the Minister of Construction (1988-1989) and as the Governor of the Bank of Korea (2002-2006). He is currently Professor Emeritus at Chung-Ang University.
