A Commitment to Community-engaged Research
Community-engaged research is a critical part of the University at Albany’s mission, and our students, faculty and researchers make significant, novel contributions to help address societal challenges in the Capital Region, New York State and beyond.
We invite you to visit campus during Showcase Day to see how, as a public research university, UAlbany is an important resource — and partner — for the community.
UAlbany Showcase will highlight and celebrate student excellence through displays and exhibitions of undergraduate and graduate research, scholarship, creative endeavors and applied and experiential learning.
You’ll be able to attend poster fairs, oral presentations, demonstrations, panel discussions, recitals, art exhibitions and performances. During these events, you can interact with UAlbany students and ask questions about their work.
How to Attend
Showcase Day is open to all and free to attend. Registration is required; instructions will be posted on this website as soon as they are available.
Once you’ve registered, you’ll have access to the digital program and can use the app to plan your visit, including the sessions, exhibits and activities you want to attend.
Events will be held in various locations on our Uptown Campus and in ETEC, the University’s hub for innovation, scholarship, applied research and commercial development.
Most presentations will be within walking distance of each other. However, the UAlbany shuttle will be available for trips around the Uptown Campus and for rides to and from ETEC.
Parking will be available on campus, with instructions accessible via the app. View a campus map and driving directions. UAlbany is also accessible by multiple CDTA bus routes.
