RNA Institute Researcher Receives Prestigious Early Career Award to Study Cellular Processes Underlying Class of Rare Diseases
Postdoctoral Fellow Hannah Shorrock has received a “Pathway to Independence Award” to study cellular processes underlying the class of genetic neurodegenerative diseases that includes various spinocerebellar ataxias, Huntington's Disease, ALS and myotonic dystrophy.

Yang Yang Rawden, a graduate student in UAlbany’s Master of Fine Arts program, was recently awarded a $7,000 Thayer Fellowship from the State University of New York to support her transition from school to pursuing a career in the arts after graduating this spring.
