Biology Department 42nd Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium
On Friday, April 25, 2025, the Department of Biological Sciences held its 42nd Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. At UAlbany, undergraduate science students participating in research for credit play a key role in designing experiments, testing hypotheses, conducting experiments, analyzing data, interpreting results, and finally presenting their conclusions. All students fulfill the presentation requirement by participating in either a poster session or an oral presentation during the Annual Research Symposium.

The University at Albany hosted on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, the Third Annual Showcase Day, an event dedicated to promoting and honoring academic and research achievements. The day featured poster and oral presentations, fairs, performances, discussions, demonstrations, and exhibitions covering a wide array of subjects including STEM, arts and humanities, social sciences, and professional studies. Over 2,200 UAlbany students participated in the event, sharing their research, academic and experiential learning experiences plus creative activities.
