Foundational Trainings for All Roles
Note: You must request free access to Deque University before getting started.
- Fast Track to Accessibility for Any Role (Non-Technical): This course can be completed in about 60 to 75 minutes and provides a high-level overview of accessibility principles and practices.
- Accessibility Fundamentals - Disabilities, Guidelines, and Laws: This course can be completed in about 90 minutes and helps participants understand different types of disabilities as well as the standards and laws that guide accessibility practices.
- Fast Track to Accessibility for Microsoft Office: This course can be completed in about 75 minutes and provides specific guidance for creating accessible materials in Microsoft applications, such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Fast Track to Accessibility for PDF Creators 2.0: This course can be completed in about two hours and provides specific guidance for creating accessible PDF documents.

Learn the what, how and why of digital accessibility by completing Web Services' Web Accessibility Training.
This asynchronous, online training has eight self-paced modules, which each take less than 30 minutes to complete. This course is required for all University site editors, but all UAlbany students, faculty and staff have access.

Self-paced Courses
Choose from 30 asynchronous, online courses that are valuable for anyone who creates digital materials. The courses are self-paced and take from 30 minutes to 6 hours to complete. Review SUNY's course recommendations to get started.
