Associate Professor of Biology Thomas Caraco's areas of research include spatially detailed population dynamics; invasive fronts' universal scaling relationships; and ecological models for bacteriophage growth.

He applies statistical models to population biology in order to help understand the economic impact of invasive species, and how to limit the cost of economic restoration.

Caraco received his Ph.D. from Syracuse University.
