Biography:

Zhou conducts research on land-atmosphere/climate interactions through a synthetic analysis of meteorological observations and remotely sensed data with Earth system modeling.

His recent research is focused on the environmental impact of wind power on regional weather and climate and climate change and variability on tropical rainforests. He is a 2009 recipient of the Director's Award for Collaborative Integration from the National Science Foundation.

Zhou received his Ph.D. from Boston University in 2002.
