We sat down with Brandon Lewis, Undergraduate Program Coordinator, to learn more about him and his work. Lewis received a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius College and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Le Moyne College.

Empire Innovation Associate Professor Continues Cardiovascular Health Study with $185,000
ALBANY, N.Y. (July 27, 2021) - Kai Zhang, Empire Innovation Associate Professor in the School of Public Health, received $185,000 from the American Heart Association to continue his research on the long-term impact of urban environments on the progression of cardiovascular health among healthy adults since early adulthood.

Environmental Health Professor Provides Guidance on PFAS Testing and Health Outcomes
ALBANY, N.Y. (July 26, 2021) – Professor Erin M. Bell, as part of an ad hoc committee appointed by the National Academies, is evaluating current evidence regarding human health effects of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in an effort to bridge the gap between community needs and physician response.

UAlbany researchers study finds that white students were provided in-person instruction 31 percent of the time while just 6 percent of black students were provided in-person instruction during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
