UAlbany and Broadview Federal Credit Union have teamed up to offer a series of non-credit educational programs for Broadview employees. The unique partnership is intended to serve as a model for future collaborations with industry leaders, strengthening Capital District businesses with courses designed for today’s professionals.

After nearly 45 years at the University at Albany, Shawky is embarking on a well earned retirement. Before he departs, he shared a look into his time at Massry, lessons he has learned along the way and advice he leaves Massry faculty and students.

Through a partnership between the Massry School of Business and the International Business School (IBS) Americas International College, aspiring leaders can join The Business Executive Programs to immerse themselves in an American business environment.

Michael Irene, a program manager at the NY CREATES Albany NanoTech Complex, Irene credits his executive MBA program with transforming how he approaches complex challenges and leads teams in a cutting-edge environment. Irene, ’18, was recently featured in the Times Union, where he discussed working within the semiconductor industry.

UAlbany rolled out the purple carpet Thursday night for the world premiere of its episode of "The College Tour" and the grand reopening of the newly renovated Campus Center Ballroom. Students, faculty, staff and alumni filled the refreshed space — now complete with upgraded AV technology and a modern look — for a Hollywood-style celebration that included themed mocktails, a photo booth and a panel discussion with student stars from the episode.

Even when classes are not in session, University at Albany students find ways to gain valuable experience through a variety of summer internships, research, volunteer, and other applied learning opportunities.

The Massry School of Business highlights their newest faculty members and celebrating the well-deserved promotion of an educator from within its ranks.

Dr. Paquita Davis-Friday, Dean of the University at Albany’s Massry School of Business, recently hosted the seventh annual PhD Research Symposium. The symposium is designed to support underrepresented doctoral students in business disciplines and brings together PhD students from across the country.
