MBA student finishes third in international business competition
Evening MBA student Prachi Bharadwaj competed solo in an international business simulation competition and came home with third prize.

Keeping Up the Good Work: School of Business Student Clubs
Student clubs are proceeding safely during the pandemic, with some clubs increasing their membership and participation.
“Our student organizations have dealt with many challenges - redefining what it means to be involved in a time where meetings can only be done virtually. We are proud to see the ways our students have adapted, evolved and grown while continuing to offer ways to network with and share knowledge from alums, industry experts, and corporate partners and to support their peers,” said Damira Pon, academic coordinator and director of student services for digital forensics program.

Executives Reach Students
The School of Business offered an opportunity for students to learn from seasoned executives this fall. The program, planned as an in-person event, went virtual.
The Industry Partnership Committee of the School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board’s collaborated with the John S. Levato Office of Career Services to provide students with an opportunity to interact with top-level alumni practitioners.

Ron Forbes, Living Legend
Ron Forbes' impact on the School of Business is almost immeasurable.
Even though he retired more than 20 years ago, Professor Emeritus Ron Forbes’ name routinely rings through the halls of the School of Business. For all the right reasons. During his tenure, Forbes established a robust training arena for municipal finance, preparing his students for impressive careers. According to finance faculty and Associate Dean for International Programs Rita Biswas, he was one of the few faculty members who could teach both theory and application with authority.

Wiener and Kovacheva Receive Drescher Award
Two marketing faculty, Assistant Professor Hillary Wiener and Assistant Professor Aleksandra Kovacheva will be spending more time on research this spring thanks to the Drescher Leave Program.

He suggests that the way leaders make sense of the world, a concept called “sensemaking,” directly predicts how they will respond to problems.
