Degree Candidate: Graduation Application Submission Deadline

 Fall 2018 Degree Applicants

You must apply for graduation to receive your degree for Fall 2018 (degree requirements completed by December 22, 2018).

Undergraduate students may apply online beginning August 27 through December 18, 2018.

Graduate students may apply online beginning August 27 through December 18, 2018.  Dissertation or thesis due December 1st.

To apply, log on to MyUAlbany, select the Academics panel, scroll down to the Graduation section and click on the Apply for Graduation link:

If applying after the deadlines stated above (or submitting a degree application for a previous term), you will need to submit a degree application in person at the Registrar’s Office, Campus Center B-52. You may also fax your application to (518) 442-5532, submit it via e-mail to or mail it to Registrar's Office, Attention: Degree Services, Campus Center B-52, University at Albany, 1400 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12222.

IMPORTANT: On the MyUAlbany home page, under "Personal Information," please verify your primary name and permanent address as they are used to issue and mail diplomas. Please be advised that if your degree name does not match your primary name (exception of adding a middle name), you must provide proof of a name change or your name will be restored to the primary name consistent with official university records.
