PhD Student Hyoshin Ki Awarded Presidential Doctoral Fellowship for Research Training in Health Disparities

The Department of Economics is pleased to announce that PhD student Hyoshin Ki has been selected as a recipient of the Presidential Doctoral Fellowship for Research Training in Health Disparities, awarded by the Center for the Elimination of Health Disparities (CEHD).

This prestigious fellowship is designed to train the next generation of researchers dedicated to addressing national public health challenges and eliminating health disparities. As a fellow, Hyoshin will receive comprehensive support, including full tuition coverage, a graduate stipend, and specialized transdisciplinary training.

The program offers a unique opportunity for doctoral students to engage in experiential learning through rotations with research labs, government agencies, and community organizations. Fellows also work toward a Certificate of Graduate Study in Health Disparities alongside their doctoral degree, fostering a multi-faceted approach to economic and health research.
