About

Jill began her career teaching journalism at UAlbany as an adjunct professor in the Fall of 2023 and is excited to come on board as a Visiting Assistant Professor. Jill is a familiar face in the Capital Region, and brings experience in reporting and journalism, drafting key messaging, press kit creation and familiarity with the media landscape across New York state and beyond. Jill’s 22 plus years in broadcast journalism includes two stops in the Albany TV news market including at both WNYT News Channel 13 and currently CBS 6 News (WRGB), allowing her experience as a storyteller in building strong relationships across the community. Jill returned to Albany in August of 2022 after reporting at Boston 25 News.

Prior to joining Mower; a full service Public Relations and Public Affairs agency, Jill served as Director of Communications for a Boston based nationwide nonprofit organization helping low- and low-to-moderate-income communities achieve the American dream of affordable homeownership. In her free time, Jill runs marathons, teaches yoga and loves working on her brownstone in downtown Albany.
