A night out bar hopping in the city knocks the world off its axis when a young bride-to-be questions her future after a chance encounter with a handsome stranger. Chaos ensues when she disappears with him into the night, leaving her drunken friends in a panic. Can they stop their friend from ruining her future?! A poignant comedy about connection and being true to yourself, Adam Bock’s writing balances heart and humor while capturing the bittersweet journey that comes with owning your choices. Directed by Desirée Chappelle Streeter, The Drunken City promises a thrilling adventure that will resonate with anyone navigating the winding paths of love and self-discovery.

Almost 150 years after Ibsen’s play first shocked audiences and brought in a new era of theater with its “door slam heard round the world,” playwright Amy Herzog’s sharp new English adaptation reawakens the story of Nora Helmer and brings the essential truths of this classic drama into relief for a contemporary audience. Directed by Visiting Assistant Professor of Acting Kea Trevett, A Doll’s House follows the psychological journey of the perfect 19th-century banker’s wife who throws it all away when her life comes apart at the seams and the true structure of her world reveals itself.

This year’s festival will alternate between two different programs of one-acts and will include a showcase of solo performances on Friday afternoon. This is future of the American theatre!
