About

R. Christopher Maxwell (Stage Manager) is a Harlem resident who aspires to center the voices of marginalized communities and advance the work of other Queer artists and the Diaspora of Black Americans. The past 15 years of his career have been dedicated to producing extraordinary works and coordinating successful events in a highly organized and timely manner. He seeks to create space and opportunity for unseen artists every day of his life. Christopher hails from the bustling southern metropolis of Little Rock, Arkansas. During his early years in the natural state, he earned a B.A. in Theater Arts-Dance and Sociology from The University of Arkansas. He enjoys all forms of storytelling, the art of theater making is both an honor and a pleasure. In his academic career, he hopes to explore new mediums and untold stories. As part of his journey, he spent several years working in the Chicago not-for-profit theater circuit, and special events management for the world renown Navy Pier. He received a Master's of Fine Arts in Stage Management from Columbia University's School of the Arts. He is also a 3rd year Stage Manager at Actor's Equity Association.
