UAlbany Receives Insight Into Academia Award for Excellence in Mental Health and Well-Being
The University at Albany received the 2025 Excellence in Mental Health and Well-Being Award from Insight Into Academia magazine. The Excellence in Mental Health and Well-Being Award recognizes institutions that commit to campus-wide integration of mental health initiatives, including accessible services, peer support, emotional resilience, and proactive policy.

UAlbany Dance Council Brings Free After-School Dance Club to Local Elementary School
This past spring, members of the University at Albany Dance Council traveled to the Albany City School District’s Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology to bring a free after-school dance program to local elementary students.

UAlbany Receives INSIGHT Into Academia Magazine’s 2025 Inspiring Programs in STEM Award
The University at Albany’s EXCELlence in STEM Program received the 2025 Inspiring Programs in STEM Award from INSIGHT Into Academia magazine. The award honors colleges and universities that encourage and assist students from underrepresented groups to enter the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics or STEM fields. UAlbany will be featured, along with 57 other recipients, in the June 2025 issue of INSIGHT Into Academia magazine.

UAlbany Honors Faculty Voices at Second Annual BILPOC Conference
UAlbany's BILPOC Faculty Advancement Initiative hosted its second annual “Lifting, Climbing, and Thriving Conference” on April 24. More than 100 attendees from UAlbany and partner institutions attended the conference titled “Making the Invisible Visible.” The day-long event included a series of speakers and panel discussions covering topics such as how to harness research and community engagement to create change and overcoming challenges of invisible labor.
