Research Interests

Caroline Antonelli is a doctoral student in the Anthropology Department at the University at Albany. Her dissertation research focuses on agrarian economies and agricultural sustainability. She is currently carrying out work in Mayapan, a Maya site in the northwest Yucatan peninsula, Mexico under the auspices of the Agricultural Foundations of Mayapan (FAM) project. Caroline uses geospatial and environmental reconstruction techniques based on soil data for her research. Her geospatial skillset is based in the analysis of remote sensing data, including lidar and multispectral satellite interpretation.
