History
Research the past, understand the present, and take charge of your future.
History helps us understand how we got where we are, and why things are the way they are. This is why many influential leaders study history. Historians learn to be careful problem-solvers and clear communicators. They learn to analyze evidence and differentiate what matters from the noise that doesn’t.
Our faculty researches areas as diverse as Byzantine-Ottoman relations, U.S. public policy, war and society, environmental history, 20th century Southeast Asia, and the consumer history and material culture of race and gender.
