Gifts to the History Department help attract and retain distinguished faculty, strengthen programs, enrich our students' academic experience, and assist us in producing historical resources and public programs for the larger community. You can help us by contributing to the History Department Endowment Fund.
The History Department Endowment Fund was created to provide a stable source of income to support long-term growth and development. The principle of the account remains untouched, only the interest is utilized. Income from the Endowment Fund is used to cover to support material and equipment purchases, visits by guest speakers, and graduate student and faculty research as well as to support History Department-sponsored conferences and our growing History and Media program.
If you wish to assist the Department, you may make an on-line donation by going to www.albany.edu/give and you may specify that you wish to direct your contribution to the History Department Endowment Fund OR contribute to us directly by sending a check to the History Department, made out to The University at Albany Foundation, specifying History Department Endowment Fund in the memo line of the check. Of course, all of your contributions are fully tax deductible.
