Turning Possibilities into Promise

For 175 years, the University at Albany has empowered our people to pursue their passions, build connections, and seize opportunities. As a member of the 1844 Society, you sustain the university’s mission through your generous support and allow our students to turn possibilities into promise.

The 1844 Society represents the University’s most exclusive donor recognition level. Gifts of $1,000 or more to the UAlbany Fund – designated to specific programs or given wherever the need is greatest – are the institution’s most flexible source of private support, allowing us to direct resources where they are needed most and respond to the evolving needs of a 21st century University.

Your 1844 Society gift creates more scholarships, more internships and research opportunities, and more innovative programs that prepare students for success.

Additionally, your membership in the 1844 Society includes:

  • Invitations to exclusive 1844 Society activities and events, such as the donor pavilion on Homecoming weekend
  • Preferred access to VIP receptions and reserved seating for special University shows and events
  • Insider news and information from the University President and Foundation Board President
  • The satisfaction of making a true difference in the lives of students and the future of the University.

This Is Our Time to move UAlbany forward. Participation in the 1844 Society allows our university to grow and remain competitive – strengthening UAlbany and the value of a UAlbany degree. Thank for your support, and thank you for all you do to inspire greatness in students at the University at Albany.

Sincerely,
