MPH Student Provides Evidence to Support Maternal Mental Health Policy Development
ALBANY, N.Y. (October 22, 2021) - Community Care Physicians Scholar and MPH student Jabrea Robinson recently conducted research to better understand how peer navigators could be used as an intervention for mood and anxiety disorders caused by the physical and emotional changes that occur during and after pregnancy. Robinson’s experience was made possible with support from Community Care Physicians (CCP).

Alum Continues Work on Tick-Borne Illness
ALBANY, N.Y. (October 13, 2021) – Collin O’Connor, BS ’18, MS ’20, started researching tick-borne illnesses as a student at the School of Public Health. After publishing his master’s thesis on tick-borne diseases and graduating with his Master of Science in Epidemiology, he now conducts field work in the Western Region of New York State for better understanding tick-borne illness while working towards his PhD in Health Geography.

MPH Alum Helping to Create Resource That Allows Researchers to Conduct Thousands of Studies on Health and Disease
ALBANY, N.Y. (October 8, 2021) – Lennon Turner, MPH Class of 2000, is working as a part of the All of Us Research Program, a National Institutes of Health (NIH) initiative to develop a large research cohort that represents all communities. This cohort will volunteer their health data over at least ten years, enabling researchers to conduct studies to speed up medical breakthroughs and improve tailored healthcare approaches.
