Fall Opening Information

UAlbany Dining offers diverse dining options for the campus community, hosting two residence dining rooms and 18+ retail options. Dining options and hours of operation are posted on the UAS website and the UAlbany Dining website.

The Fall 2022 meal plan add/change period is from July 1-September 2! Learn more about meal plans here.

*You can add a meal plan or make campus funds deposits through UAlbanyID.com or the Mobile ID App.

ID Card Information

• Most UAlbany ID Card transactions can be achieved by going to www.ualbanyid.com or by downloading the CBORD ID Card Mobile App; 
• The CBORD ID Card Mobile App allows for contactless payment at all dining venues and the bookstore; 
• A retail food ordering app is available that allows access to meal plans/campus funds via student ID cards. This app will allow for contactless ordering/payment/pick-up.

To obtain an ID card, all new students must follow these instructions below:

STEP 1- Submit your ID Card photo for approval

1. Go to UAlbanyID.com and log in using your NetID and password
2. Select ‘myPhoto’
3. Follow instructions to upload a current photo and official form of photo identification (e.g. driver’s license or passport)
4. Select ‘Done’ when complete. Keep an eye out for an acceptance or rejection email concerning your photo. 

You MUST order your ID Card- Once you receive an acceptance notification email regarding your photo, proceed to Step 2 and order your ID card.

STEP 2- Order your ID Card- Your first card is complimentary. Just select ‘Free ID Card’ at checkout. 

1. Go to UAlbanyID.com and log in using your NetID and password
2. Select ‘New/Replacement ID Card’ *
3. Select ‘Pickup’ then choose ‘Orientation- Pickup at Res Life Check-In’ from the list
4. Select ‘Add Item’ then go to ‘My Cart’ to checkout
5. Choose payment type ‘Free ID Card’ and ‘Pay Now’!

*Selecting ‘New/Replacement ID Card’ brings you to the log in screen again, please log in and navigate to ‘Order’ from the menu in the top banner, then select ‘ID Card Office’ from the list.

Your card will be printed and available at check-in with Residential Life

Textbook Rentals

Selected textbooks rent on average for less than 50% of their original price. Textbooks can be rented at the University Bookstore or online. Check out the frequently asked questions on textbook rentals here!

Online & eTextbook Ordering

Online ordering is easy and may save students 25%. For more information on digital material click here. Orders can be picked up at the store or may be shipped. Digital versions of some textbooks are also available for a savings of up to 60%. Learn how to order your textbooks here.

The MicroFridge is the only microwave allowed on campus. The MicroFridge is a three-in-one refrigerator, microwave, and freezer. Students can rent or purchase units from Refrigerator Leasing Company. Students can split the cost for the year with their roommate! If you and your roommate both ordered a MicroFridge before finding out room assignments, you are able to get a refund and split the cost of one.

Don’s has been a locally-owned moving and storage company for over 60 years. Don’s can help you pack, move and/or store your belongings. All services are optional.
