Course Materials & Bookstore

1. Visit albany.edu/myualbany
2. Click the MyUAlbany portal and sign in
3. Click on the "Registration" tab
4. Click on "My Class Schedule" and choose your term
5. Click “View/Buy Books.”
6. A list of required and recommended books for each of your classes will appear in a new window. Make your selections and add them to your cart.  
7. When you’re ready to check out, create an account or check out as a guest. If you create an account, you will be able to return and view your order. If you are renting a textbook, you will be required to enter a credit card to secure the rental.
8. You will receive an email confirming your order has been placed. Later, you will receive a second email notifying you that your order has shipped or is ready for pickup.

Important Bookstore Dates

• January 28, 2026: Last day for a full refund in your original form of payment if the material is in its original condition, with original receipt
• February 3, 2026:  A full refund will be given in your original form of payment with proof of a schedule change, original receipt, and materials in original condition
• May 13, 2026: Rentals due

When you rent textbooks, the bookstore will give you a return deadline.

Returns must be postmarked or dropped off in the bookstore by that deadline, or you will be charged a late fee and/or replacement fee.

To return your rentals via mail, use your order number (available in the email you received when you ordered or picked up your rental) to print a UPS shipping label.
