About

Nyssa Knarvik is an Instructional Consultant at CATLOE. She is passionate about helping faculty and graduate students use evidence-based practices to improve teaching and learning.

Prior to this position, Nyssa was an Assistant Professor of Spanish & Language Education and the Coordinator of Elementary Spanish Education at Colorado State University. In this role, she provided instructional consultation for faculty and graduate teaching assistants. She has 12 years’ experience teaching at multiple universities in a variety of subjects, including education, pedagogy, linguistics, and Spanish. Nyssa is ABD in Spanish Linguistics, focusing on Second Language Acquisition, at University at Albany. She holds an MA in Spanish Linguistics from University at Albany and a BA in Spanish and Education from St. Lawrence University.
