About

Justin Albohn is an Instructional Designer in CATLOE. He is a creative educator who uses evidence-based research to support the design and delivery of student-centered face to face, blended and online learning environments.  His work is guided by standards-based instruction and data-driven assessments with a commitment to creating environments of mutual trust and respect to foster success. Having recently transferred from UAlbany ITS, he has a strong background in applying current and emerging technologies to increase engagement, assist with accessibility, aid in outcome alignment, and improve overall student engagement and success. Prior to coming to UAlbany, he worked as an instructional designer and classroom teacher, where he concentrated on developing authentic and active assessments, problem based and collaborative learning spaces as well as game-based learning environments. He has over twenty years of experience in education and has been working in faculty development and instructional support for over ten years.  He holds a M.S.Ed in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from The University at Albany and a B.A in Secondary Education Social Studies 7-12 from SUNY New Paltz.
