Yvonne A. Dadson is Adjunct Professor and PhD candidate (ABD) at the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity (CEHC) at the University at Albany, SUNY, where she is completing her PhD in Information Sciences with a dissertation on immigrant vulnerability and resilience in disaster contexts.
Research
Research Interests
Her research on disaster equity and technology has been published in journals including the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health and British Journal of Educational Technology and recognized with honors such as the 2026 Benevolent Association Research Grant, 2026 IDEAAL DR2 Fellowship, 2025 IAEM Graduate Student Scholarship, 2024 Bill Anderson Fund Fellowship, among others.

She has taught courses in homeland security, emergency preparedness, and research methods, and presented her work at many conferences including IAEM, FEMA's Higher Education Symposium and the Natural Hazards Workshop.
