Human Resources Newsletter: March 2026

The Uptown Campus covered in snow, with the carillon visible through snow-covered trees and above freshly cleared walkways.

Greetings colleagues!

As we quickly approach the middle of our spring semester, I want to extend my appreciation for the energy and commitment you continue to bring to UAlbany. The shorter and colder days reminds us of the importance of connection — celebrating our shared purpose, supporting one another and recognizing the contributions that move us forward.

Thank you for the work you do every day. Let’s keep building a culture where people feel valued, included and empowered to thrive.

Warm regards,

Gary Evans.

Our featured department is the Provost’s Office!

Thank you for showing your holiday spirit! For our next newsletter in May, share a picture of your team embracing the blooming flowers and the beautiful weather. This can include a walk to Parker Pond, a lunch at the Parents Fountain or any other outing in the sun!

HR Roundabout

From mid-November to January, we welcomed 95 new employees to campus! We appreciate the continued collaboration from departments all across campus as we onboard new staff.

Additionally, we congratulate the 25 retirees we off-boarded last semester and wish them the best.
