About

Dr. Nour Alhussien is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cybersecurity at the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity, University at Albany (SUNY). She earned her PhD in Computer and Cyber Sciences from Augusta University and holds both a BS and an MS in Computer Information Systems from Yarmouk University, Jordan.

She directs UAlbany’s TrustSecure AI Lab, which focuses on developing AI-driven solutions that ensure the security, robustness, and trustworthiness of interconnected digital systems. The lab designs and implements defenses against adversarial attacks across diverse application domains—including network intrusion detection, financial systems and phishing detection.

Current projects also examine the vulnerabilities of large language models to prompt-injection, jailbreaking and related attacks, with the goal of building effective defense mechanisms.

She has published in leading venues such as IEEE Transactions and has presented at conferences including IEEE NOMS, ARES and IEEE TrustCom.
