Friday Knights at UAlbany

Fostering Social Growth & Friendship for Youth

Friday Knights at UAlbany is a supportive recreation program that offers fun activities to help children and adolescents develop friendships and social connections beyond traditional school or community settings.

Under the guidance of trained University and community volunteers, participants engage in activities that build social skills and explore how to apply them in school and group settings.

While the program prioritizes local youth with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), it also welcomes siblings and peers when space allows.

Friday Knights at UAlbany provides opportunities for genuine connections, social interaction, new friendships—and most importantly, fun!

Friday Knights has been serving our community for over 20 years. It was originally established at The College of Saint Rose, where it became a highly successful program. We are thrilled to continue this important work as Friday Knights finds its new home at the University at Albany.

The 2025-2026 program is made possible through generous support from a UAlbany StAR grant.
