BILPOC Leaders Recognized with Award

Congratulations to Carmen Serrano (LLC Assoc Prof) and Elizabeth Vásquez (Epidemiology and Biostatistics Assoc Prof), the 2025 recipients of the Program in Writing and Critical Inquiry’s Dr. Stephanie Hassan Richardson Award!  The award was presented “for inspiration and advocacy in forming the BILPOC (Black, Indigenous, Latinx and People of Color) Faculty Advancement Initiative at the University at Albany.”  Their excellent ongoing work has also been recognized and lauded at other institutions across the country where they have been invited to present and discuss what the BILPOC initiative has been doing.
