Summer Housing 2019

Residential Life provides various housing options for those students taking Summer Session courses at The University at Albany. Housing is provided in either Empire Commons or Liberty Terrace. Students may only reside in University housing while they are enrolled in courses.

Application Process and Eligibility

Students living in University Apartments (Empire Commons, Liberty Terrace, Freedom Apartments) may reside on Empire Commons. Students must be at least 21 years of age or have accumulated 56 credits or more to be eligible for Empire Commons. All apartments on Empire Commons are fully furnished and have 4 bedrooms with full size beds and 2 full bathrooms, while Freedom Apartments provides double occupancy, single occupancy, and efficiency housing arrangements.

Current and incoming freshmen may reside in Liberty Terrace. All apartments are fully furnished, and have 4 bedrooms with twin size beds and 2 full bathrooms.

To apply for summer housing, please visit MyUAlbany and complete the Summer Housing Application under the ‘Campus Life’ tab.

Conferences and University Groups

Residential Life provides housing options to conference groups both within and outside the University at Albany. Conference groups are housed on Liberty Terrace. All apartments on Liberty Terrace are fully furnished, and have 4 bedrooms with twin size beds and 2 full bathrooms.

Youth Camps

Residential Life provides housing options to youth summer camps both within and outside New York’s Capital Region. Summer camp groups are housed on either Colonial or Dutch Quad, which are both located on UAlbany’s main campus. Colonial and Dutch Quads provide fully furnished double occupancy bedrooms, communal bathrooms, and a meal plan (meal plan information can be found on the UAS website.
