School Psychology Master of Science Degree

The Master’s in School Psychology degree, also known as a “master’s-along-the-way,” is a supplemental program exclusively available to students pursuing the School Psychology CAS or PsyD. It is designed to meet the master's requirement for New York State School Psychology certification. This program does not provide certification after earning the MS degree. Students can apply for certification after earning the MS and CAS degrees. PsyD and CAS students can apply for this master’s degree after completing 30 specific credits of coursework and receiving satisfactory ratings on their pre-practicum field supervisor evaluation, which indicates their ability to successfully integrate and apply course topics in professional practice.
