artificial intelligence for Business Master of Science Degree Program

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence for Business is a 30-credit program that trains students in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications to business. Recent developments in AI have opened opportunities in industry and academia for innovation that can have a transforming effect on society. The purpose of this program is to produce business and technology leaders who are capable of powering growth in their organizations through applications of AI. Graduates will understand the technical elements of AI and how to use AI to make decisions that add value to their businesses/organizations. AI has three distinct segments: core model building of AI systems, conversational AI (chatbots, generative AI, etc.), and robotics. The focus of the program is on the first two segments with the emerging field of robotics as an elective. There is a special focus on business process redesign using AI as well as leveraging AI for different domains (e.g. finance, accounting, management, etc.). Students can select a concentration from the following options: Accounting, Finance, Information Security & Digital Forensics, Information Systems & Business Analytics, Management, and Marketing. Students
admitted to the Accounting or Finance concentrations are required to have appropriate undergraduate prerequisite/preparatory courses.

2. Capstone Course Requirement - 3 credits:

3. Concentration Courses - select 6 credits from one of the following concentration areas:

  • Accounting: this concentration does not lead to licensure or eligibility for the CPA

4. Elective Course - 3 credits; the elective course can be selected from an appropriate Massry School of Business graduate courses, as approved by the advisor. Students in the accounting concentration must select an accounting course elective.
