Cameron Paquette
Bosart Family Scholarship recipient, Cameron Paquette, is an atmospheric sciences major and knows a career in that field is for him. His experience at UAlbany has been all things “weather.”
Paquette is treasurer of the local chapter of the American Meteorological Society, has an internship with the National Weather Service and plans to pursue an advanced degree in atmospheric sciences upon graduation.
Reflecting on his experience at UAlbany, Paquette credits Ross Lazear as his favorite professor. “Professor Lazear is the friendliest person on Earth. He’s very easy to talk to and I requested to be his advisee.”
Paquette is eager to stay involved and give back to the university after he graduates because the education he received was life-changing. The assistance from his scholarship enabled him to be a student here and, as he puts it, “To be recognized by Dr. Bosart is an honor since he is the most knowledgeable man in his field.”
