Specifically, Dr. Bae is interested in how teachers can play a central role in supporting students while utilizing emerging educational technology, such as AI. Currently, she is involved in two projects. The first project involves designing and developing a cognitive orchestration assistant for collaborative problem-solving in a narrative-centered, game-based learning environment. The second project revolves around co-designing an AI curriculum for rural middle schoolers, with a focus on how AI impacts students' lives and the ethical considerations surrounding AI. She is collaborating with K-12 teachers on this initiative.
