Professor Chen receives NSF grant

Professor Cuicui Chen has won a research grant from the National Science Foundation to investigate technology adoption in the automobile industry. The project focuses on automakers that have been alleged to have colluded on adopting Diesel Exhaust Fluid tanks that were too small to effectively clean up nitrogen oxide, a major contributor to air pollution. The goal of the project is to quantify the effects of the alleged collusion on nitrogen oxide pollution damages, car buyer surplus and firm profits.
