Professional Interests

Dr. Sokolowski enjoys working with students from all backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns, including stress and adjustment, depression, anxiety, and family and relationship issues. She coordinates the STEPS Program, a screening and brief intervention program for alcohol and other drugs. Her professional interests also include research and evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of clinical services.

Dr. Sokolowski’s therapeutic style is based in cognitive-behavior therapy and also integrates other approaches. She emphasizes understanding and responding to the specific circumstances and needs of each individual client.
