Faculty Expertise and Achievement

Piyush’s third year paper based on price controls and economic regulations in healthcare, titled “Price Regulation, Technology and Provider Redistribution: Insights from Parity Laws”, was selected for 2024 Asia Meeting of the Econometric Society, East & Southeast Asia, August 2 to 4, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Additionally, it was selected for 2025 World Congress of the Econometric Society (ESWC 2025), Seoul, Korea, Monday, August 18 to Friday, August 22, 2025. Piyush also won the UAlbany, Dissertation Fellowship, for his paper “Effect of Social Media Sentiments on Domestic and Foreign Stock Returns: A Machine Learning Approach” co-authored with Ulrich Hounyo. Piyush holds more than 7 years of combined teaching experience in various subjects, especially economics.
