About

Catherine has 20+ yrs of experience working with children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. 

Catherine received her BA and MA degrees in psychology from the University of the Pacific. Catherine is a NYS licensed behavior analyst, a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) and a NYS certified special education teacher (birth – grade 6).  

Professionally, she has enjoyed many roles.  She taught in an inclusive classroom. She has been consultant to school districts regarding the verbal approach to language and learning. She is knowledgeable about applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior change principles and creating individualized learning programs, creating goals, and analyzing data trends. She has provided clinical ABA services in homes as well. 

She taught for 10 years as an adjunct faculty member at Sage Colleges School of Education and Empire State College. She has been an administrator at a specialized school and in mental health residential settings.

As an education specialist at CARD Albany, Catherine is primarily involved in providing school consultations regarding evidenced based practices, sharing information with a new diagnosis, giving behavior support,  and providing community trainings.
