What is a Transfer Articulation Agreement?
Transfer articulation agreements aim to facilitate a student’s transfer from one institution to the University at Albany and maximize the number of credits they can transfer when they do.
Under these agreements, students can complete a pre-approved sequence of coursework at another institution (typically a two-year college) and apply those credits toward a bachelor’s degree at UAlbany.
For example, a student who earns an associate degree in forensic science at a particular community college can use an existing transfer articulation agreement to finish a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at UAlbany. (Please see the lists below for the exact agreements.)
If your current institution doesn’t have a transfer articulation with UAlbany, you can still transfer here. In fact, you can transfer up to 90 credits from a combination of accredited institutions and apply those credits towards your undergraduate degree requirements at UAlbany (some restrictions apply).
Anyone interested in transferring to UAlbany should contact Undergraduate Admissions or International Admissions for more information. We also encourage you to speak with your advisor at your current institution.
Note: These agreements are subject to change at any time by official University action.
