About
Dr. Vanderminden is most passionate about engaging in actionable equity-focused research.
Prior to joining the Sociology department at UAlbany, she was the Director of Research at the NYS Youth Justice Institute, and prior to that, a tenured Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) in the Department of Sociology and Criminology.
Research Interests
Violence and victimization in the lives of youth, inequality, scholarships of teaching and learning, and community-based research.
