The Class Gift
The Class Gift is one way for UAlbany students and parents to make an impact at the University at Albany, and serves as a living tribute to great memories, an outstanding education, and a bright future.
Each year, students vote for the designation of the class gift fund. This year, students have overwhelming chosen to support The Sean O’Reilly ’86 Healthy Danes & Well-Being Fund. Well-being is crucial to a student’s overall academic success and this fund provides financial support for programming and initiatives that promote the health and well-being of students, including suicide, drug & alcohol prevention programming.
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! As you prepare to say farewell to campus you have a special opportunity to be a part of the graduating Class Legacy. It’s a new tradition of giving that connects you, our newest alumni, to the next generation of students who will follow in your footsteps.
Members of the graduating class who support the Class Gift, or UAlbany designation of their choice with a gift representing their class year ($20.24) will be recognized for their generosity at Commencement!
By making a gift representing your class year ($20.24+) you will receive a special purple and white generosity cord to wear at Commencement and to symbolize your gift to future Great Danes. Purple because you are forever a Great Dane and white for being a proud donor.
