About

Lester Hadsell’s current research and teaching interests focus on the interdisciplinary nature of economics, with recent publications examining the role of culture in shaping individual economic preferences and public policy, the size of government, and satisfaction with life. His research has appeared in journals such as the American Economic Review Papers & Proceedings, Applied Economics, Economics Letters, Journal of Comparative Economics, Eastern Economic Journal, Energy Journal, Journal of Futures Markets, and American Journal of Economics and Sociology, among others. He has served in editorial capacities for several journals, including the Journal of Education for Business, from 2007-2015. He currently teaches economics at the State University of New York at Albany and previously held teaching positions at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and at other colleges and universities.
