Lester Hadsell’s recent work focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of economics, examining the role of culture in shaping economic systems through individual preferences and public policy. His research has appeared in journals such as the American Economic Review, Applied Economics, Economics Letters, Energy Journal, and Journal of Futures Markets. He has served in editorial capacities for several journals, including the Journal of Education for Business, from 2007-2015. His book Social Economies: How Society Shapes and is Shaped by Economic Thinking is being published in June 2026.
