Our Role at UAlbany
As part of the Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM), the Web Services team leads the content strategy, design and development of the University at Albany's website system. Our current focus is supporting the University’s enrollment and retention goals through effective digital experiences.
We employ a four-stage process — plan, strategize, build and deploy — to deliver websites that meet evolving institutional needs, while upholding best practices in branding, design, content, quality assurance, consistency, usability, accessibility and search engine optimization (SEO).
Web Services oversees the content management systems used to create, edit and publish webpages. We also provide technical and training support for site owners and editors across campus.
Our goal is to ensure the online experience reflects the energy and excellence of the UAlbany community — one that’s inspired, accessible and engaging.
