Disability Access & Inclusion Student Services (DAISS)

Whether your disability is visible or invisible, we are here to help.

Disability Access and Inclusion Student Services (DAISS) supports and empowers students by cultivating an accessible and inclusive living and learning environment at the University at Albany. Note: Our office was formerly called the Disability Resource Center (DRC).

We take a student-centered approach while determining reasonable accommodations, teaching college skills, fostering self-advocacy and educating the UAlbany community.

Students registered with DAISS should log into Accommodate for all requests related to approved accommodations, including accessing your letters and signing up for exams.

Two students walk on either side of a third student using a motorized wheelchair under the arches on UAlbany's Uptown Campus.

Request an appointment.

Due to limited staff and high volume of requests, please allow a few days for us to get back to you.

We are available for in-person appointments in our Campus Center 130 office or virtual appointments via Zoom. You can select your preference when requesting an appointment.

Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the last appointment of the day starting at 3 p.m.

We offer hour-long and 30-minute slots. Please always allow up to an hour for registration appointments.

Anyone is welcome to request an appointment, including current students, new students, prospective students and their families. Faculty and staff may also request an appointment.
